As a native of Charlotte I've always loved snow days. We rarely get good ones but when we do the city shuts down - for most winters, though, it isn't uncommon to have an entire season with no real snowfall. Not in 2009 - 2010! This is the wettest, coldest, and most snow filled winter I can recall. Snow this year was a lot of fun - living within walking distance to most of what you need makes a big difference. We walked the deserted and quiet streets each time it snowed this year -- it's always amazing, to me, to hear the hushed silence the snow tends to bring as it slows us all down, even if just for a day or two! Blanketing the neighborhood with snow makes all the old bungalows and huge oaks look even more beautiful than they normally do. Enjoy! (now I'm ready for Spring!!)

Have pix from any of the snow days in the neighborhood? I'd love to add them to the site! Please email to Scott@SouthendCharlotte.com
